I sent a story on the morning of July 1 and I got a response saying since it wasn't July 1 my submission had been deleted. I re-sent it later in the day. Today I get an email saying since I submitted more than one my submission was deleted because I am evil and submitted two stories. I think they aren't interested in reading ms. Perhaps they should change their name to something else. 'APEX irritating emails' or 'Apex automated time wasters'. I won't be sending them anything else.

(Go to the bottom and read my later comment. Very important.)

Apex Digest I'm sure (A&A isn't open now).

That automated stuff can be annoying -- I think if you sent them a query you could straighten things out though.

I've found them pretty personable--I'm sure they'd love the chance to redeem themselves.

Perhaps someone should suggest to them to get rid of the autoresponders in that case.

You were right, kaolin fire. Jason Sizemore sent me a personal email and explained what happened. I regret my hasty words now. I thought about just deleting this thread but that won't make up for those who have already read it. I really hope they read this section at the bottom. I will submit to APEX again and I hope Mr. Sizemore will consider the work and not my rude behavior in his decision. (I am sure he will.)

Jason has always been pleasant and easy to deal with for me, I'm glad you managed to work through this. Auto responders are tricky enough, but much, much better than waiting three months to find they didn't recieve your Ms.

Yeah, I've met Jason a couple of times and talked to him several times online. He's always been a pretty nice guy as far as I can tell.
GW, glad you got things straightened out to some extent. It's always nice to know, at least.
