Greetings all,

In recognition of his fine work for the site, I have asked Ryan Harvey to step into the role of Managing Editor at www.swordandsorcery.org. Under his capable hands I know the site will continue to grow and prosper.

I will remain on board as the Editor-In-Chief, but will be much less involved with the day-to-day operations of the site.

Wish Ryan good luck!

Best wishes, and Swords Together,
Howard

I would just like to say how honored I am that Howard would choose me for this task. He has done a superb job on the site while balancing many other responsibilities. I hope I can live up to the standard that he set.

Good show, Ryan.
With your skill and knowledge of the genre, the magazine is in good hands.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out.

Welcome aboard, Ryan. I'm sure things are in capable hands.

One question: Is there a new address for submissions of reviews? I have the third "Swords Against Darkness" anthology review almost written, and should be ready to submit it before too terribly long.

Congratulations!

Howard, are you still reading submissions, or is Ryan going to do that now?

Hi Sean,

I believe the plan was that Ryan would handle more day-to-day stuff with SwordAndSorcery.org, and that would free Howard to concentrate on Flashing Swords (among other things he needs to concentrate on outside of the site). So, I believe story submissions still go to Howard, whereas reviews and articles now go to Ryan.

I'm sure they'll correct me if I'm wrong [:D]

Yes, Howard is still taking the submissions for Flashing Swords, since he is still the managing editor of FS, which is technically separate from S&S. I have nothing to do with FS so that there won't be a conflict of interest if I decide to submit a story to it.

Ryan, being the editor of FS should not prevent you (or Howard, the current editor) from submitting your own stories to it. You'd just be following in the footsteps of the original 1970s FS and its editor, Lin Carter, who, in fact, included his own tales in his FS (#s 1 & 3), let alone all of his he included in his Year's Best Fantasy anthology series. Yes indeed, congratulations. I'm rather keen to see the movie reviews myself.
