Good morning all,

Thanks again to Dave for putting Silver Leaf Books as a publisher in this section. I see that three authors are now using this site, and thought an actual forum where information about our books, news, press releases, reviews, and any information the three of us wanted to pass along could be listed.

The three of us are....

Stuart Clark, author of Project U.L.F. (Science Fiction)

Mike Lynch, author of When the Sky Fell (Science Fiction)
~ And as you saw in Mike's posting, he is a co-author with Brandon Barr, but I'm listing Mike since he's part of this group.

Clifford B. Bowyer (myself), author of the Imperium Saga novels (Fantasy), including....

Fall of the Imperium Trilogy:
Book 1: The Impending Storm
Book 2: The Changing Tides
Book 3: The Siege of Zoldex

The Adventures of Kyria (a young-adult spin-off):
Book 1: The Child of Prophecy
Book 2: The Awakening
Book 3: The Mage's Council
Book 4: The Shard of Time
Book 5: Trapped in Time
Book 6: Quest for the Shard

and 6 more to come (if they come out at the publisher's current rate, the next book will be September, and 2 per year are released).

As for the publisher, you can find it at:

Silver Leaf Books, LLC
P.O. Box 6460
Holliston, MA 01746

Submission guidelines are included on the website under "Aspiring Author."

Thanks again for giving us our own little forum.

Clifford,

Thanks for getting this posting established. I find it strange that I would see my name on a sight like this, let alone any website. Just 12 months ago, I seriously considered packing up my computer and letting my dream of becoming a published author fall by the wayside. After receiving rejection letter after rejection letter, I began to wonder if I had what it took. But Silver Leaf Books took a tremendous chance on me and gave me this incredible opporutunity. I feel like I have taken a big step into a larger world.

Hi Mike,

I got only positive reviews from the editing staff, so we'll go with fate (their loss, our gain!).

I know what you mean about the whole rejection letter thing. I wrote a non-Fantasy / Sci-Fi novel and have been shopping it around. I'm getting a nice stack of form letters or pleasant refusals. When I wrote the book, I didn't intend to get it published, but it's been recommended that I do (it's very personal circling around the death of my father and pulling real life experiences and fictionalizing it). Of course, when it's something so near and dear, it makes those rejections even harder!

Anyway, congrats on the publishing deal and your "big step." I know what it felt like the first time I opened a box and had my book in it, was able to hold it, touch it, even smell it. A magnificent feeling. It's a feeling unlike any other, and one I never get tired of each time I see a new book come out. I'm glad you're going to have a similar experience, and that Silver Leaf Books is the place to help make that dream into a reality.

Best wishes on every fortune, success with the title and launch, and hopes for a long career with plenty of SLB releases!

Clifford,

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Losing a parent can never be an easy thing.
