Michael Crichton's Prey
Frightening, but believeable to some extent. Anyone else read this recently - at all? I just found it on the bookshelf and opened it. Scary conscept, but really engrossing subject. Definitely not one to turn into a movie.

Maybe they've already done a bad movie about it?

I read it a few years ago. It was pretty good as Crichton goes. I've read a lot of his stuff because it takes you for a good ride. The problem I have with his stories is that at the end of the ride, he usually makes what happened no longer important seeming. It's almost like it never happened at all.

I started this years ago. Never finished it. Somehow, he lost me after a third of the book.

Which third?
I used it as a mind-number during detox . . . I thought it was very interesting. Gave me some ideas - or, rather, I stold a great deal from it. I'll have to browse it again next week when this crazy bttw week is over.

Actually, the first third. I browsed it a bit more, and then put it away.
