I've been reading science fiction and fantasy for a long time. I watch few movies and little television.

I read a lot. Lately, I've been reading a lot of web serials. I believe they either represent the future of fiction or at least a large part of it. Right now, enjoying them requires a tolerance for amateur writing, but with some diligence, works of high-amateur- and professional-levels can be found.

In any case, I think the days of the typical paper-published book are numbered. Amazon's Kindle is pointing the way on that.

Hi, and welcome!  Personally, I sincerely hope that paper books are around for a good long while.  I enjoy e-stories too, but, for me at least, it's just not the same as sitting down with a book in my hands.  :-)

Tales of MU is written at a professional level. It's now in my top 10% favorite things ever written.

If you go to Pages Unbound, you will find reader reviews that will help you locate serials that fit your taste.

Welcome! I happen to prefer paper reading to on-screen reading, regardless of the type or size of screen, but there is no denyying that there has been a growth in online and mobile device fiction. Hope you enjoy yourself on the boards!
