Welcome! You must really love them--even the Cheese League doesn't start 'til August...

Oh, wait. Wrong Vikings.

Good to have you here.

Ooo, Enya.  I find Enya's enchanting music to be wonderful background music when composing poetry or drawing Viking warriors (or anything else for that matter).  Really.  (Music that's too loud makes my eyes go crazy and I can't focus.)

Hello, Sarah!  Welcome to SFReader! :-)

Welcome aboard!!!

A tiny bit of Enya on this machine (Carribean Blue and Far and Away, I think).

I like Vikings too, although what I write about them tends to be ridiculous....

Glad to have you here!

Greetings Sarah!

Like you, I just recently joind this forum. It's great to see another woman who enjoys Enya. She's been a favorite of mine since I heard one of her songs used in the series "Northern Exposure". Btw, do you also enjoy the group she used to be with, Clannad?

Posted By : Skadi meic Beorh - 3/17/2008 5:20 PM
Sorry to double-post, but all this talk of Enya makes me want to push her first album 'The Celts' and Clannad's (her sister's band) 'Legend' and 'Macalla'-- easily three of the best modern Celtic albums ever recorded.

"Welcome! We're the same age and I was homeschooled...hmm..."

Wow, how cool is that? Now I'm an online college student, full-time. I'm taking classes from American Military University, even though I'm not military. They have a modern epic fantasy class that I'm taking, and it's pretty cool.

Welcome Warriorchick!
Out of curiosity, have you read the two viking poems written by Robert E. Howard?

You say God's spark has kindled my eye,
As the sun-rise reddens the east;
Into your beards I roar the lie-
'Tis the gleam of the stalking beast.

Hello there, and nice to meet you! I just watched a History Channel show about vikings today. Which was good, because there's precious little on TV at 8 in the morning.

Hi and welcome. Love my fantasy too and have written a few Norse-ish tales. Mind you, we didn't like them round here, when Alfred gave them a cheeky slap!
