| Posted By : Dark Agnes - 3/15/2008 1:46 PM | | I've been surfing this site for almost a year and thought it was time to join and start expressing myself.
For years I've been a sci-fi and fantasy fan, along with horror. During that time I always thought of myself as a little odd because I had a hard time finding other women who also enjoyed these genres.
My husband, Kane, introduced me to this site shortly after we started dating. I was surprised to discover that there were other women who were fans and had had no problems expressing themself here.
Looking forward to reading the posts here and to be able to state my opinions without feeling like an outsider. |

But, since my wife is my first reader and often has plenty of comments on my stories no matter what genre they are, I know there are sci-fi ladies out there too. *smiles* |

The Dark Agnes stories were my first introduction to Howard's marvelous writings. When we had been dating a few weeks my, now, husband loaned me his copy of Swordwoman. I was instantly captivated by the style and flair of the writing, along with the vibrant independence of the characters.
My husband knew me well enough to know that starting me off with these stories would make me more interested in reading more of Howard then starting me with the Conan stories.
After reading more Howard, and reading some of the various posts on conan.com, I read Price's "One Who Walked Alone" and Flynn's "Blood and Thunder". Those were my jumping off point for my fascination with Howard as both a man and a writer. All of this is a round about way of saying that I have been to the REHupa site and gone through some of the material there. Although there is still a large amount of material for me to still go through. |

anyway, hello, and welcome and be at ease! “Hello, I am William Burton, Head of Recruitment and Integration for the Agency for Peaceful Regulation and Definitive Cooperation of Extraordinary Existence.”
