Does anyone know the average speed limit on Los Angeles freeways (especially Rosa Park Fwy)?

I'm taking a guess, 60 miles/hr. It's an information I need for the novel. Thx.

And while we are at it, is Marina Del Rey an upper class seaside community? burger

The speed limit on most LA freeways is 65 miles per hour

Marina Del Rey? Why do you ask?

Sorry, I've driven LA. The speed limit is about 14 mph, same as Manhattan. :-)

On good days, it's actually 80mph, or at least you're getting the horn laid on you if you're not going that fast (I was just there over the weekend and boy were people flying on the highways.).

I haven't lived in LA since the early 80's, but back then Marina Del Ray was a mid to upper class community, not in the Beverly Hills class, but more expensive than we could afford. Don't know how much it's changed in 20+ years, though.

Thx. Marina Del Rey is supposed to be a secondary residence of the antagonist's parents. They are rich. So I was looking for a rich haunt that is not Beverly hill.

Thank you all for your answers.

@ Raph

That would do. Exactly the kind of place I was looking for. As long as it's not Beverly Hills, I'm going with it. Nice sounding name as well, won't you agree? :)
