Here is the problem: I have two pictures, one wrapped over the other, and also texts wrapped over the background picture. I want the two pictures and the texts to merge into one single picture (that I can access as a jpg). Software is MS word; how the hell do you do that? Help greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can do that with WOrd, if I'm understanding correctly. See if you have MS paint, you can paste two images onto that and manipulate them and save them as one jpg file I think -- though I'm sure someone here knows more than I do on the subject.

But experiment with MS paint in the meantime.

Hmmm, MS paint will probably ruin the quality of the pictures.

I'm fairly positive you won't be able to do that in Word. I don't like Paint much myself, but I don't really know what will work. You need a picture editor and that's along the lines of MS Office PictureManager or Adobe Photoshop.

Did it on MS Paint (a sneak preview only, picture of mediocre quality). A sneak preview for you my good fellas (link below). The book will only be released in three months time. By the way, Darkmoor, can you please link my URL to your blog? I'll add yours to mine ASAP.

I'm glad something worked for you, but a picture editor will be your best bet. Thanks for asking about linking - I checked out your site and decided to add you. Good luck with the book!

I liked the cover but I'd suggest a change in font. Cool looking fonts are only effective if they are easily legible. I had to study the larger cover image before I could read it. I thought for a moment that "enchantress" was "enthusiast". When someone looks at your book cover, they shouldn't be guessing what they're reading or even straining their eyes (the white would be okay with a better font, but the gray is difficult on the eyes). Just trying to be helpful, but do whatever makes you happy.

A larger font point would help as well; there's plenty of room...

@ Christopher

I was pondering on the font myself. Hard to read, indeed, but it is just a sneak preview (something for visitors to look at instead of a blank space). Thank you so much for the input. Criticism most welcome, thank you.

Mistral font is quite hard to read (a big minus), but has the advantage of being discrete and harmonious. It's light and almost ethereal. A larger, white font is in consideration. I hold the belief a picture is more powerful than words--quite paradoxical for a writer...aspiring writer. I don't want the title to intrude, yet I want it to be easy to read of course.

The only program I know that can do this stuff is Microsoft Digital Imaging Pro 10. It usually comes paired with MS Publisher. cool
