Good to know!

Actually, there is a sequel to The King's Wind in the works titled Indigo Nights.  Rhys having to deal with the death of an old friend, the mysterious appearence of a kitten that is not what it seems, and a mercenary out to get back something Rhys has before the old blood mage that hired him decides to feed him to some small furry black creatures with big appetites...

Nice! Can't wait to read it... the character is so filled out, and that's what I love about Rhys.

So, how's the book coming along, Armand? There is another convention here in California next month and I can promote LoJ as well as RotS there to a very appropriate audience.

Just doing the final edits on the book right now and getting everything in order on it... look for an advanced order deal coming soon as well for everyone patient enough to want to read it!

If you are interested in getting copies of the "Lords of Justice" book (and want to purchase the exclusive covers - only 250 copies of each of the four characters - only available through www.carnifexpress.net ) I suggest you join the Carnifex Press mailing list asap, as an announcement and 'Secret' page will be opening shortly to buy the copies... the mailing list is available on the new, rebuilt homepage... and with all the hype the four writers are giving this book as well as crystalwizard, I'm guessing that the 1,000 TOTAL limited-edition books will sell out pretty fast, leaving you with only the regular edition cover with all of the heroes...

Just checking where things are with the book's release. The pre-sale supposedly ended this past Tuesday, but neither my friends late on ordering the book nor I can find Lords of Justice anywhere on the Carnifex websites. Has there been a delay?

Without going into monumental detail, it seems that the printer is holding the book hostage right now... I'm trying to find another way to get this one out asap so I can be done with them, but they are holding a huge sum of money from me currently and making it impossible for me to go to another printer or LSI with the book... cross your fingers that this cursed book comes out soon!

They owe you money AND they won't release your book? Have you contacted a lawyer? Do you have a contract with them that they are breaking?

You know, I do have all the work files. You don't need the stuff they're hanging on to...

Armand,

For what it's worth, if a smaller print run will make things easier, my heart won't be broken. Right now, getting something into the hands of the pre-orders (family and friends, reviewers, etc.) seems more important than getting our dream of the specialized covers and all that. I would be happy just to have a book to show my 88 year old grandpa.

Just saying.

Good luck with everything. I hope it works out.

Just got the word on the new printer, Armand; hope all is going well for you with that. It's a bummer to have something like this screw up the timing of the pre-sale and what not.

By the way, I enjoyed reading your little interview with Kevin. So Bryan, Michael... when are we going to see your interviews, hmm?

Great news, actually! The printer has begun putting the books together this morning... they need to do the bulk of the printing this week and then hit the covers, including the limited edition ones, and then... books will be shipped asap directly from the printer, they have the full list of who gets what books, etc.

Cross your fingers... they might finally be here!!! Thanks for all of the patience...
