http://www.amazon.com/Heroes-Training-Martin-H-Greenberg/dp/075640438X/
The book is scheduled for the beginning of September, which means you have a little over 6 months to tell all of your friends
It's possible the order of the stories may change slightly between now and September, but here are the thirteen talented writers who have stories in Heroes in Training:
Roomies Esther Friesner
Three Names of the Hidden God Vera Nazarian
The Princess, the Page, and the Master Cook's Son Sherwood Smith
The Children's Crusade Robin Wayne Bailey
The Apprentice Catherine H. Shaffer
Beneath the Skin James Lowder
Giantkiller G. Scott Huggins
Drinker Michael Jasper
King Harrowhelm Ed Greenwood
Honor is a Game Mortals Play Eugie Foster
The Wizard's Legacy Michael A. Burstein
A Touch of Blue: A Web Shifters Story Julie E. Czerneda
Sir Apropos of Nothing and The Adventure of the Receding Heir Peter David
---
Four of these stories give the authors a chance to revisit some of their characters/worlds... So in the interest of going all-out with the author-promo:
Peter David brings us a new tale of Sir Apropos, who has appeared in Sir Apropos of Nothing, The Woad to Wuin, and Tong Lashing.
Julie E. Czerneda's Web Shifters trilogy introduced readers to Esen, who returns in her story here. Czerneda's Web Shifters books include Beholder's Eye, Changing Vision, and Hidden in Sight.
Vera Nazarian's story marks a return to the rich world of her novel Dreams of the Compass Rose.
Finally, Michael Jasper's story provides insight into his aliens the Wannoshay, who appeared in his collection Gunning for the Buddha. Jasper's novel The Wannoshay Cycle should be coming out some time in 2007 from Five Star Books.
In the history of grand adventures and heroic quests, goblinkind has never been more than a footnote. That's about to change....

I am looking forward to this one! | | Back to Top | | |
