Blast!!!
I just saw I've been busted down to "Adept". Man, this is a cruel board. I was an "Overlord" with over 1200 posts before.
This is too much like the real world. You work and you work, and then some new piece of technology comes along and  bumps you off the top of the totem pole.
I feel like such a commoner.

Ed, maybe I shouldn't point this out but under your profile, you now have the option of assigning yourself a custom title...

(this'll be interesting!)

Ed,
We all seem to have lost posts, and I had just made my thousanth!
I guess I can live with the new board but I can't understand one thing.
What was wrong with the old board?

You can see a few of the answers to your concern int he Site News forum.....

All archived posts (posts older than 6 months) weren't carried over, hence the lost posts.

Old board was OK, but I wanted an up to date fourm.
Now we've got private messaging, avatars, polls, a community calendar, who's online and more stuff I haven't started to explore yet. I wanted a more ribust app as SFReader continued to gorw-

I think the changes are pretty cool, Dave ... still can't get into the critique group, but I've heard patience is a virtue.
Whatever the heck a virtue is.
thanks,
Tom

I'll toss my vote in favour of the new boards. I like the look and for me at least, they seem to load much faster.

Off to change my title...

Just to clarify, my gripe was in jest. I was making an attempt (a poor one) to be funny. I hope it came across that way. I didn't mean to be coming down on the new board. I like it and I think it will offer some great flexability.

I used boards with polls before and after we get a good one or two going I think you guys will really like using them.

It looks like this board has everything except a power sunroof and dvd player for the kids in back.

There, I've changed my title. Basically I've pointed out that I'm inept instead of adept.

LOL! I'm 'Grand High Dragon' on another board, but it seems a wee bit pretentious here... I'll have to keep thinking.

I got that it was humor, at least, Ed.
