Wahoo, my roll will continue into July...roll

Lyn has decided to take the plunge and publish poetry in Resident Aliens, and he's accepted my poem "Shadow People" for publication in the July 2008 issue.

Thanks, Lyn!jumpin

Now I have to try and get some poetry accepted for publication in August...

Yeah, congrats. A genre first! ;-) May be a one time shot, so we'll see. Watch for a growing ToC at my ResAliens thread starting in June.

Well, Lyn, I know of at least one other speculative poet that has hinted at possibly submitting poetry to Resident Aliens.  Announcing my Resident Aliens acceptance on my Live Journal blog has stirred up some interest in your e-zine.

I pointed out that the publication of "Shadow People" may be a one-shot experiment, but just keep in mind that others may be interested in subbing speculative poetry to Resident Aliens, if you decide to publish such poetry on a fairly regular basis.

Thanks, Gustavo!

Is that a legend in my own time, or a legend in my own mind?

I really have to do something about refilling my submission pool.  I have very little left out there.  My roll may yet come to an end, just for the simple fact I can't write enough to keep it going!   (Lately I've been doing more illustrations for publication than poetry.)
