Got an e-mail from Bill Snodgrass from Sword Review last night--- in a fit of temporary madness he bought my story "Voice of the Spoiler"--- maybe this fiction writing thing will work out for me. Of course, this means I must come up with more product--- Seriously, I cannot believe what a rush this is--- I have sold over 300 non-fiction pieces over the last 30+ years, and was a reporter for a while, for 3 years had a syndicated film column--- plus I write political stuff under a different name, and as I am employed in academia, I write for my work as well, so I have seen my byline enough times that it shouldn't be anything big. But last year I decided that it was time to be writing fiction again. So I ground out a few things to get my chops back, and in May started submitting. This sale takes me back to the thrill I had in my early teens, when I would go to the post box every day, hoping for a sale, and every time I got an acceptance, it was like springtime, puppies and true love. Thanks Bill--- when my 13 volume memoirs hit the best seller list in the year 2031, your name will be immortalized!
