I'm happy to learn that G.W. Thomas has accepted two of my Dora McCain (Mythos) tales for On the Trail of the Great Old Ones and its follow-up publication. He also accepted "Keeping it Under Wraps" (featuring Private Eye Wade Kearney) for the Ghostbreaker Files

I sold "Last Bus to Hemphill Street" for Blue Lady #2 and "You Don't Want to Know" to the Mount Zion Speculative Fiction Review #3.

This is a welcome relief after a recent dry spell!

I'd say, that's a ton of acceptances Ron. Congrats! I've hit a dry spell myself, but waiting back on a few promising subs that have been held forever.

Your stuff is too good for a dry spell to continue. You'll probably have a deluge of acceptances soon!

Thanks! It doesn't usually happen that way but I'm not complaining.

Great news, Ron! Nothing like multiple acceptances coming in all at once, eh?!

Congrats, Ron! Looks like were ToC buddies again. I posted it over at GW's thread about the mag, but I'll be in On the Trail of the Great Old Ones, Issue One.

I know what that dry spell is like. Tough to keep the spirits up when you get back nothing but rejections. Keep bangin' away at the keyboard and stickin' those pages in envelopes, though, and good usually comes of it eventually.

Thanks for the kind words, Ron. As Rob said, let's all keep crankin' out material and wait for some breaks. I'm on a writing hiatus right now, but did pretty good for the year---11 short stories and a novella. I started a novel that I've shelved until next year when I can start writing again, so hopefully I can kick off the first part of next year with another novel under the belt. Sorry, starting to hijack this thread, so I'll stop now. :) Congrats again on the multiple sales. That's always sweet when you get a lot of acceptances in a short period of time. Makes you feel on top of the world.

Just got my contributor's copy of Mount Zion Speculative Fiction Review #3, Ron, and saw that your story receives special mention in the publisher's notes as "a good example of the type story we are looking for". High five!
