Carnifex Press has "Clash of Steel 3: Demon" from the printers, and says it's now available for purchase. It includes a story from me, for anyone interested. Details at www.carnifexpress.net.

This anthology also has stories by fellow forum members Christopher Heath, Angeline Hawkes, Christopher Stires, Steven Shrewsbury, and yours truly.

Thank you again Pitch-Black for the first Storn Cook fiction contest, as my story would not have been written without it.

And since we're talking about it...

Clash of Steel Deal

Now that *Clash of Steel: Book Three - Demon* is
available, I've decided to put a special deal together...

All three *Clash of Steel* books

*Clash of Steel: Book One - Reluctant Hero* $5.95
*Clash of Steel: Book Two - Assassin* $4.95
*Clash of Steel: Book Three - Demon* $12.95

individually they are $23.85 plus $6.00 shipping/handling

I am going to run a *Clash of Steel Deal* for the first 50 orders
until April 1st (or whenever 50 orders are reached) for $20.00 plus
$2.00 shipping/handling... save $7.85! It's like getting Book Two and
shipping for free.

Just use www.PayPal.com {http://www.PayPal.com} for quick payment
and make payment to armand@carnifexpress.net
{mailto:armand@carnifexpress.net}

Easy as that! Make sure you put in *"Clash of Steel Deal"* in the
subject line and put your address in as well so I can get the books
right out to you.

Got my copies for my collection of clash of steel. Man they look nice! I especially like the cover from the first one, but they're all good. Haven't had the chance to read them as of yet. I've got a big pile TBR.

Rob Santa's story An End to Tyranny in Book One is especially sweet. My personal favourite.

Thank you, Bruce. blush I'm excited to read Book 3. I just love good old-fashioned demonic fantasy.

Congratulations to everyone in this anthology! I'm with Howard--don't know when I'm going to get the chance to read this, but I've officially added it to my to-be-read list...

I'm looking forward to reading it, too (still waiting for my contributor's copy to arrive.) "Demon" is the second Carnifex book I've been involved in, but unlike the other ("Freehold: Southern Storm," a shared-world antho) I haven't read all the other stories yet! So while I'm eager to get both books in my hands, I must confess to looking forward to "Demon" just a tad more. Some good names in the table of contents ...

-- Steve

(P.S. -- If you haven't heard elsewhere, the "Freehold" project includes myself and a couple other forum regulars -- Bruce Durham and Nathan Meyer. Bruce and I are in Book One ("Southern Storm") and Nathan will be in Book Two ("Protector"). Looks like I will have a story in Book Two as well, although "Freehold" is something of a freewheeling project and that could change. Anyway, interesting stuff and worth checking out.

I just ordered my copy of CoS3. Can't go wrong with such a strong lineup of talent. cool

Hey Swash, apparently I'm in Book 2, too. I certainly can't complain, I just have to pick up the pieces of my characters after Armand got through with them... :-)

Bruce: I read Armand's piece the other night, and was aghast at how rough he was on your boys ...

Do you have already have a plot involved for your second story? Hissu's wandering around south of the pass and getting in trouble, if you need him. Aside from "Shedding Skin," my follow-up for the second book, there's a little piece called "Venom for their Dreams" in the files section I'm hoping can be spiffed up and included in the online promo Armand is working up. "Venom" takes place after "Snake Eyes" and before "Shedding Skin." Feel free to incorporate a Hissu sighting, or try to catch the little rat, if you wish.
