Great week! I just sold my horror story, "Let the Black Earth Take It All" To CJ Burch, who's planning a noir sequel to the "Justice Wears A Dress" anthology by Rage Machine Books. There's an excerpt on my website for anyone interested.

Those are three of the strongest opening sentences I've ever read, Bryce. Now how long do I gotta wait for the rest of the story?

The End of Lady Grey at AlienSkin

The Law of the Tribe at Byzarium

LOL! Thanks! The release date isn't until 2007, but if you're *really* nice then *maybe* I'll send you a preview copy. [;)]

Congratulations, SC! I read the excerpt--a very compelling opening. Cool title too.

Thanks, all! You know, I've probably had this story sitting around for 5 years, hating the then-title and without the opening that's excerpted on the website. Sheesh. It took me that long to revise the story and find the current title!
