I guess I should put something up here as well.

The easiest way to answer all the above is to point you to my Illustration Gallery on my site www.Hisart.us.

Well, I guess I qualify to post here...

Ummm...let's see

I won't mention some of my first ones cause they suck. Some of these first few suck, too but they suck less, so...blush

"Gwyndowr" for my short story, The Waters Stir, in Dragons, Knights, and Angels (issue #33)

"Surrender" for a short story in The Sword Review (issue #19) *helped me win the P&E poll that year for Best Cover

"Seeker" for the cover of The Sword Review (June '07 issue)

I illustrated the collection of short stories called, Servant of the Manthycore, by Michael Ehart (Double-Edged Publishing). I also did the coverwork. You can see the illustrations HERE. I LOVE this character and her stories. They were wonderful to work on. The writer is very talented!

Now, I do a lot of fantasy portrates and character illos for friends. I have a piece coming out in September for the new site for John Olson's soon-to-be-released, SHADE. Speaking of which...I need to get back to it.

Happy drawing!

I've had fun doing some illustrations for Flashing Swords magazine (long live Flashing Swords!)

I've done illustrations for the following issues:

"The Covenant" by Christopher Stires, from issue #3: http://flashingswords.sfreader.com/issues/issue3/vol1-iss3-03.htm

"Edges" by Edward Muller, from issue #4: http://flashingswords.sfreader.com/issues/issue4/vol1-iss4-04.htm

"A Covenant with Death" by James Enge, from issue #6: http://flashingswords.sfreader.com/issues/issue6/vol2-iss6-01.htm

"In Service to the Queen" by Elizabeth Barrette, from issue #10: http://flashingswords.sfreader.com/issues/issue10/fsi100012.asp

"Perchance a Pendant" by Kevin 'Jaqhama' Lumley, in the Special Summer print issue.  Buy it at the Flashing Swords website: http://flashingswords.sfreader.com/titlepage.asp

And I've got several illustrations forthcoming (including an illustration to one of my own stories).

My influences are mostly from comics: Mike Mignola, Frank Miller, Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, Barry Windsor-Smith, Hugo Pratt, and others whose level of creativity and expertise I admire and aspire to.

Azure Lion Productions - art inspired by history, myth, legend, and folklore.

That's me, or rather my "professional alter ego".  Anyway, for those that don't already know, my artwork consists mostly of pen and ink drawings, either black and white or coloured in digitally.  I prefer bold lines and solid colours over a heavily shaded look.  It has been said that much of my art resembles medieval woodcuts.  I like to think that I've been influenced by historic woodcuts, nineteenth century illustrations, and medieval manuscript illuminations.  As for subject matter - I have a tendency to draw knights, dragons, and mythical critters.

Do I take commisions?  I suppose I do.  I guess it ultimately depends on how many illustration projects I'm working on at the moment.

This thread is specifically so that artists have a place to post their credits and links to their work.

Each person post just one reply to this thread with a description of what sort of art you do, and any links you want others to follow to see examples. Also, please list whether you take commissions or not.

When you're ready to update your resume, just edit your reply instead of adding another one.

This thread isn't for idle chatter or comments about various pieces of work. Please start a new thread for those sorts of discussion.
