Or a least get nominated:)
Congratulations to Vera Nazarian for her nomination for Best Short Story "The Story of Love" and of course to Michael Moorcock, who is being honored as Grand Master!
Both were kind enough to write very nice things about The Servant of the Manthycore, Vera wrote a killer blurb, and Mike wrote the foreword, which is almost embarassingly positive.
Write nice things about my book >>> get recognized by SFWA. Coincidence? You be the judge!

I just finished Servant today, and I'll be posting nice things about it very soon. I expect my Nebula within the year.

Well now, it's great that people who like your books are winning nebulas... but how do we get YOU a nebula of your own?

I think the primary requirement is for me to write a Nebula-worthy story:)

"SFWA members can "recommend" the work for the Nebula ballot. When a work has received ten recommendations, it immediately qualifies for the current year's preliminary Nebula ballot. Early the following year, SFWA members vote on the works on the preliminary ballot, narrowing the field down to (usually) a final ballot of five works in each category. Special Nebula juries are permitted, but not required, to add one deserving but overlooked work to the final ballot in each category. SFWA members then vote on the final ballot."

Okay so now we need to find someone in the SFWA to recommend your book. Got any suggestions?

Wait, how about asking Mr. Moorcock to recommend it?

I think cussedness is a member (at the very least, she's extremely eligible by way of past publications). Jim Hines is also a member...
