Odd question, perhaps.

If you do enjoy them, why?

If you don't enjoy them, why not?

I've gotten used to them. From a writer's perspective, the editor who uses line edits can help me pinpoint weak writing and offer a better sentence or suggest alternative words, syntax, punctuation, etc. As an editor, line edits allow me to be more engaged in the overall story, otherwise I might limit my comments to "weak characterization" or "are you seriously trying to write fiction?" (lol, I'd never say that last one!)
