Nope, didn't get them. If you don't get an acknowledgment back from me within 2 days that I received yoru submission, contact me here. I ALWAYS respond within hours. Evidently, the FS email has been flaky for a while now.

I can try! But is injuring Mike really the best road to publication?

Not injuring him, but he bounces well.

I sent him a couple of other stories in the same universe in an attempt to do this. If he likes those, I promise to write and send as many as you can buy. If he doesn't, I have an idea for another one, which might do the trick and which I'll definitely try to get written as soon as possible.

if you sent them to him, he hasn't said a word about it to me. When did you send them to him?

Let's see. What should you be trying to write... ummm... stories?

Actually, Gustavo, I want you to come up with something that tops Great Hairy Boats and makes Mike Turner literally fall off his chair, laughing. Think you're up to it?

At least hint about what we should be trying to write... Should we aim for the usual fare or have something different waiting in the wings? I think I might be banned from subbing forever, since I have one story awaiting publication and two in the slushpile! But tell me anyway, always happy to add one more (or two, if that's what you mean by double!!).

Double number of subs per author?
Double number of unnecessary chicken crossing the road jokes per story?
Double Edged Publishing?

OK, I give up...

Double as in "make mine a...", I assume.

By which I would guess a bumper double-sized issue, rather than a double shot of fine single malt scotch.

How about a single shot of double malt scotch?

WE did not fall over in a dead faint!
Sure we swooned a little, but no dead faint.
Writers, just gear up and start cranking on those S&S gems.

Doubling the size of the magazine?

Two anthologies this summer?

You're doubling pay rates?

I suggested that, but my team fell over in a dead faint, so... probably not.

Hmm. Beer, chocolate, bacon flavored toothpicks, squealing and Siamese twins. Sounds like a party I want video tape of.

Double? You're making the magazine bi-monthly? smilewinkgrin (I can hope, right?)

Well, if I had to take a serious guess ... I'd guess two magazines?

www.tyjohnston.blogspot.com

"Hot Off the Press" Ray Gun Revival #25, 2007.

"Deep in the Land of the Ice and Snow" upcoming in the Flashing Swords anthology, "The Return of the Sword: A New Age of Heroic Adventure."
