Looking great, Jason! Are you soliciting submissions for this? Using Editor Submissions from Flashing Swords? or are you using contributions from Flashing Swords (I assume that this was why you put the call out for those missing authors on your blog)

Thanks and more thanks, gents!

I'm not soliciting at this time - doesn't mean I won't have to, just need to get a few things addressed.  First and foremost - and great news for the masses of you who missed out on the chance to buy it - most of the original Flashing Sword Ezine Annual stories should be returning - still working on that, hence the contacts request.

Then there were a couple stories I just happened to be aware of (being part of another magazine, online critique groups, and critiques by friends sure is beneficial ;-) ) - especially as these tales stuck in my memory simply because they were perfectly suitable for the content I'm looking for.

There'll be a classic or two (what's an FS anthology without Harold Lamb or some such luminary?)

And I've snagged - with the help of a well-known personage - a great little nonfic article to continue a PB & FS tradition I always enjoyed.

~ Folks, this is going to be a rocking antho and I know you'll love it - I've loved crafting it every step of the way! You will definitely owe mucho congrats to its authors and you will most assuredly want to have this book on your shelves.  Creating it has been fun, but without their skills it would never reach the fullness of its potential! ~

How much of this will be new to those who bought the e-anthology and have read the e-zines?

I'll let Jason answer most of that. I want to mention that this anthology will be available in print.

The potential is 50% e-anthology and 50% brand-spanking new!

There is not a single tale from the e-zines - no repeats here.  If any e-anthology author declines - none I've spoken with have yet - the newbie material increases!

Never fear - this is not a fund-raiser resale of previous material!  There were some damn fine stories in that e-anthology and not very many people ever got to read them.  This is a chance for both the authors and Flashing Swords to benefit from bringing them back to our readers.

For those of you who did read the first FS e-anthology, think "Last Scream of Carnage" -- you may just get an idea of what's coming. yeah jumpin devil

Reading for EDF, I've really come to miss sword & sorcery. I'm glad that you guys are spearheading a comeback!

If you're not soliciting, how are you getting the 50% new material? Invite only? Can you drop a few names?

How about artwork? Who's doing the cover?
Any story illos like PB did with their anthos?
Have you contacted Loren Malloy -- has anyone heard from him? How's he doing? Sorry for the digression, but I'm curious now . . .

Can't wait to see a cover! How about an ISBN? That always makes things more real for us ex-publisher geeks.
It's really great to stumble behind a newcomer willing to bear the torch. Go win the world, guys!

ISBN and Library of Congress control numbers are my business. I'm the publisher (Cyberwizard Productions)

:) I haven't applied to the control Number yet but I have an ISBN for the anthology.

Jason is doing an incredible job on this anthology. I think you'll really like it.
