The last thing I want is for the number cruncher to cause a delay that will curb some of the enthusiasm of the testing teams! Besides, part of the testing will be coming back and giving feedback on whether something is balanced or not (so everything doesn't need to be 100% perfect right now!).
I'll drop you a quick note to let you know when I actually have mailed the booklets and materials.
Mike: The "research" phase should hopefully be long since done (that took place about 3 years ago!). Everything is written, developed, and just waiting for the final stat check before officially kicking off testing (as I said above, it's probably foolish of me to wait. Testing will wind up causing things to change, but I've always been a bit of a perfectionist, so if something is known to be wrong, I'd like to tweak it and fix it before sending it out for testing!).
No more delays! The booklets will be going out this week! Clifford B. Bowyer

For the past few years, a development team has been working on transforming the world I created in my novels and turning it into a d20 RPG game. After working through a few last minute tweaks, the book has now been finalized and is ready to resume testing.
Through various connections and events, we do already have individuals who are interested in testing. However, as I scroll through the feedback and comments posted on many games, I see again and again that people criticize the lack of playtesting. As such, I'd like to open it up and welcome people who might be interested in doing some playtesting for the game.
Materials for testers (such as game booklets, feedback forms, etc) will be prepared based on the total number of testers that we have (number of groups and the number of people within each group). All testers will need to sign a Confidentiality / Participation Clause, and their names should also be provided for inclusion in the final release under playtesting (the publishing credit will be provided, but there will be no financial compensation for volunteering for playtesting).
When we originally began considering playtesting (about 6 months ago), we created a very formalized and structured test. We have since decided to abandon that and give the actual materials to people to review, use, and play as if buying it in a store for a more accurate test. This should give testers some considerable flexibility with how they desire to run and play the test.
If you are interested in doing some playtesting, please respond to this posting and indicate how many members of your test team there may be. I would recommend anywhere between 3 and 6 testers for each Testing Supervisor (the DM), but we will not discount interested parties that are either larger or smaller.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
