Since I am a new writer, and you are printing my firstborn in your anthology BDWD, I am sitting at the edge of my chair, breathlessly waiting for the first copies. But I will force myself to be patient, because all babies need clean didies and need to be powdered and sweet smelling when company arrives.
New anthology, hmm. I have a story of an everyman who hooks up with a magician whose hiding in the woods and they are forced to flee a monster and lead it away from civilization.
Wonder if it will fit. I guess I'll just have to send it when you open submissions.
good luck as you go through the rest of the publishing process.

Having been writing for some years, I have to say that your policy of being completely open with your writers is really a breath of fresh air. I don't think anyone is going to begrudge you a month or two to fine tune your antho. On the contrary - writers want to appear in high quality forums. 2. Hope to have something for the new antho as soon as guidelines are announced! It's great that you've got another project on tap. | | Back to Top | | |

I don't know if I'll be able to come up with anything for it, but I sure as hell want to read it. :)

Firlefanz said...Rob, even though I'm not in any of your anthologies, I wanted to say this: The way you have been communicating throughout the start of Ricasso Press has been simply wonderful. Admitting to that delay can't have been easy, but you did it and are honest about it. You deserve a sounding round of applause!
I want to second that, Rob. You (and Mr. Ward, as well) have been more than fair with my own personal brand of insanity. While I don't enjoy getting rejections, I've been more than happy with our correspondence and your professionalism.
Which means, of course, that I plan to torture you with more of my writing when you announce another anthology.

Rob Santa said...And the funny thing...I'm already thinking about the next antho. I must be nuts.
Oh goodie! Not goodie that you're nuts, I mean, goodie about a new antho. :)

Thanks for the update. It's appreciated. Not to fret. You're busy juggling these projects, and all we have to do is wait.
