It's for discussing SwordAndSorcery.org articles and reviews (and S&S, in general, if desired) rather than lumping it all in with discussions and announcements concerning the Flashing Swords eZine.

Good idea ... and I really liked the Tierney and Smith interviews recently posted. I've long been a fan of Tierney, but have not read Smith's "Oron" books. Now that I've read the interview, I'll track them down. That''s probably the best thing about SwordandSorcery.org -- there's a lot of stuff out there, and this site really provides a service in spearating the wheat from the chaff.

Thanks!

Steve, in case you missed the link to my Oron review in the Smith interview, here it is.  It has sample excerpts and some of the interior art work.

For what it's worth, in my opinion, the open of Oron is one of the best S&S book beginnings out there. That opening has stayed with me visually for decades now.

So...what else u guys do in this org?

Tarantino himself has been forward and unapologetic about his influences. In a 1994 interview with Empire magazine, he said, "I steal from every single movie ever made. If people don't like that, then tough tills, don't go and see it, all right? I steal from everything. Great artists steal, they don't do homages."

Until some schmo like me comes along and ruins it................................21!

Just bought Tierney's Scroll of Thoth, myself, after reading the stuff on S&S.org and encountering some of his stories in the Swords Against Darkness series.

Been meaning to check out Oron, too, and now, with the glowing remarks here by Nathan, it seems I must.

SwordandSorcery.org has been a great source for me when I need an opinion on what's good and what is not.
