-- Yep, sorry Beth, you'll never get the real rush without access to military hardware.  They just don't like H.E. at civilian ranges.  They don't even like .50 BMG ammo fired at our local out-door range(Probably figure any errant rounds will scatter down on Klamith Falls). 
 
-  The real down-side of the fun stuff is the cost. $3-to-$10,000 per round, depending how much 'bang' you want.  Once you really get to blow up rusty trucks, TV is pretty tame.
