Good to get some feedback from readers to reinforce my decision. Nicholas Ian Hawkins

So far, I like it a lot. Moore's writing is as moody as I've heard it was, and Jirel, while a strong warrior-princess type, is still undeniably female. (It bugs me when the swordswoman in a story could be replaced by a guy and it wouldn't affect the story one bit.) Haha, I'm anxious to read more of Moore!
I'm also anxious to read more from Planet Stories. They are collecting stories from Leigh Brackett, Henry Kuttner, and R.E. Howard from old pulps. These are stories and/or authors I've heard a lot about, but have been difficult to find. A big thanks to the folks at Black Gate for their interview with Paizo's Eric Mona--that's how I found out about this great...line? Series? Collection? Uh, that's how I found out about it! | | Back to Top | | |
