Finally finished Ed Gorman's BLOOD GAME, so I decided to pick up Vonnegut's SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE.  I've heard a lot of good things about Vonnegut, so I'm sure I won't be disappointed.  It's always nice to discover an author for the first time. ;-)

I agree. You know, it's this kind of book that make aspiring authors think they can write a book. (The language being laid back and natural.) They later realize that it's much harder than it looks.
