Just got a big box of books from a bookstore that is going out of business.  I heard about it through one of my other SF&F forums.  The prices were amazing...the kind of closeout prices you dream about for books, so I bought 18.  Enough for anniversary, birthday, and Yule gifts for my husband this year.  I am a very happy woman!

For me (the fan of dark urban fantasy)

1.) "Nightlife" by Rob Thurman
2.) "A Kiss of Shadows" by Laurell K. Hamilton
3.) "Night's Edge" (novellas by Maggie Shayne, Barbara Hambly, Charlaine Harris)
4.) "The Blood Books: Volume 3" by Tanya Huff
5.) "Eye of Heaven" by Marjorie M. Liu
6.) "Awaken Me Darkly" by Gena Showater
7.) "Deerskin" by Robin McKinley
8.) "Sunshine" by Robin McKinley

For my husband (the fan of trad fantasy)

1.) "Sign of the Unicorn" by Roger Zelazny
2.) "Knight of Shadow" by Roger Zelazny
3.) "The Dawn of Amber" by Roger Zelazny
4.) "The Changing Land" by Roger Zelazny
5.) "Trumps of Doom" by Roger Zelazny
6.) "Sign of Chaos" by Roger Zelazny
7.) "Prince of Chaos" by Roger Zelazny
8.) "Electronic Echoes of the Mind" by Wade Kimberlin
9.) "Maskei: Thaery" by Jack Vance
10.) "Tigana" by Guy Gavriel Kay

I just heard from the bookstore where I bought my box of books...BOOKSTOP.  The owner tells me she carries all kinds of books...fiction and nonfiction.  She has around 5000 books left, and gave me great deals on hardcovers and paperbacks, a few as low as 98 cents each.  Wow!

Here's the thing....she is only going to be open for one more week to take email orders.  Then everything goes to charities in Georgia where the store is located.  So send the owner, Karin Kimberlin, an email with books you are looking for from your TBR list, and she will get back to you ASAP with what she has and some great prices.

Her email is bookstop@bellsouth.net

This sale ends next Saturday JUNE 30th at 4:00 pm.  So send her an email today and get a great bargain on the books you've been looking for.

Happy book shopping!

Hi, Lee--

Yes, I do know about paperback swap.  I belong to several Yahoo groups as well as Goodreads (do you know about that?), and some of those friends of mine use paperback swap and rave about it.

Welcome to the forum!  What kind of books do you like to read?  I am crazy about dark urban fantasy, and I'm just finishing up Tanya Huff's "Blood Books" series.

Today I found out the next Dante Valentine novel is out two weeks early ("The Devil's Right Hand" by Lilith Saintcrow), so I stopped by my local B&N to get that.  But they were sold out up front and had to go to the backroom to find one for me.  Unfortunately, the very nice lady helping me left me by the SF&F cardboard display cases, and I found two more dark urban fantasy novels to buy before she got back with the Valentine novel.  So I dashed up to the cash register with my three novels before I could be tempted by another (grin).

Big fun for sure!  Look forward to hearing more fom you.  :-)
