Howdy,

I thought it was really quiet at SFReader recently because I haven't been getting many notifications of new postings on the forums. I've been getting notifications on thread where I've contributed, but not on forums I've subscribed to.

For instance, I'm subscribed to the Flashing Swords forum, so I should get an e-mail for every topic posted in that forum, but I haven't gotten anything.

Jordan

Mercury was in a three week apparent retrograde motion and just resumed moving forward on Wednesday. Things always slow down during a retrograde period. Mercury in astrology rules all forms of communication, and short trips. It gets frustrating but best thing to do is use the down time to relax. Now that it's moving forward things should start to pick up for everybody. Hope everybody's in boxes get flooded with acceptances in the coming days.

You can get new post notifications by subscribing to all the forums. Just be aware that sometimes you have to go and visit them all once in a while.

And make sure that when you get a notice of something having been posted, you click on the thread link, or the forum won't send you any more notices for that thread.

I haven't actually gotten a new post notification of any sort for a month or two, I think. Is it just me? I can try changing the subscribed email address if that would make any difference (it's not in any spam trap, but maybe it's blocked before that for some reason?) If it's just me, I'll fiddle with things...

I haven't been getting very many either. Just post notifications, not forum notifications.

I get them all the time. You have to make sure that if you get one, you visit the forum it's for. Otherwise you won't get any more for that forum till you do.

Once in a while, just go to all the forums and visit all the threads.

Make sure you are subscribed to all the forums as well.

It used to be that when I subscribed to a forum, I got a notification whenever there was a new thread. Those have gone away. The individual thread posts are still kicking

I'm not even getting those. I'll see if there's some switch I'm missing. Thanks :)

Like I said, I'm getting the thread notifications, but not the forum notifications. I got notified of your post, because I'm subscribed to the thread.

You may want to go back to the forums that you're subscribed to, Jordan, unsubscribe then resubscribe and see if that fixes the problem
