Hello!

I'm new here, and I was wondering if there is some way to increase the font size? I've tried the different themes, but they all seem to have the same size, which I unfortunately have problems reading.

Thank you.

Yeah, I really don't like that 8pt is the default in a lot of places. It can be tough on the eyes sometimes.

What you can do is -- in your Web Browser, under the View menu, you can choose Text Size increase. Then you will see larger fonts, without relying on others to change their defaults.

Paul,

Thank you, but I already have my browser's font size set to maxium. :) This place overrides that... Firefox might work, but I can't use it on this computer.

Dave,

That was quick. :) And I thank you, but... 9 pt is also much too small for me. I need like 12 or even better 14. (I know, huge and annoying to most people, but I have some problems with my sight, unfortunately.) Might it be possible to have a specific Large Font theme, say?

Ok

if you go to your control panel, click on Edit Option, you'll see a new theme called BigFont. Selecting that will make everything 14pt.

The large size of the font, however, might cause some formatting/alignment issues, so know that going in ...

Perfect! Thank you so much!

And regarding formatting, it's no problem, I'm used to it. :-)

Umm .. I don't see you logged in, but my default font size just increased. (both Firefox and IE)

If this was your doing and not my desktop becoming sentient, I thank you.

lol

I increased default font size from 8pt to 9pt for all templates, and made a special one with 14pt for BigFont template

I'm replying to this thread since I'm a lonely soul, procrastinating from pulling my novel-writing quota tonite. I happen to adore small print...you should see my long hand, if it can be called that...I could probably transcribe a hefty amount of the Septuagint on about 15 notebook pages. People have needed artifical assistance from scanning-tunneling microscopes to make out my writing...you know about STMs, doncha? It's what scientists used to make that oh-aren't-we-just-the-sh*t IBM logo out of, like, xenon atoms. Saw it in Discover once. Or was that Prevention Magazine? Road & Track? The Economist? Teen Beat? No, no, I remember...Hustler's 20th anniversary edition! Edited by Stephen Hawking! Damn, mind like a steel sieve sometimes, almost plumb forgot that one....-- Aging. Fear it.
