Okay, I took a night off from my other stuff and got the new issue going (finally). First up is a story by S. C. Bryce. You might recognize the name. A little bit of Dermanassian, anyone?

Also, if you're a fan of the Antoine Fuqua "King Arthur" movie, you might not want to read my review.

Cheers all.

Hey Mike

This one is going to be a slow build like the other issues, a little bit at a time, so there isn't much to show right now. I'll be keeping everyone updated in this thread.

Cheers!

Excellent! New issue looks great, even if it's a little bare at the moment. Your covers never fail to disappoint!

You can thank the artists. I've really enjoyed scouring the free sources for art from the High Middle Ages, Renaissance and the Enlightment. It's given me a new appreciation for art.

And thanks!

Looking forward to reading the Bryce piece. I had the good fortune to read a Dermanassian story in a critique group recently, and it whetted my appetite for more. Thanks, Fraser.

Hey Everyone

New fiction and a new review up. Check them out! We have "Apartment Fifty Five Two Oh Seven" from Joe Vadalma and a review of the movie Van Helsing.

Cheers.

Hey Fraser. Does this slow build explain why several articles (including the new Glen Cook book review) take you to a subdirectory page labelled 'Issue 21'?

Heh, heh.

Er, no, I have no idea what you're talking about. You must be drunk, that would never happen.

Thanks for the head's up, Bruce.

Now up and ready for your perusal, "Historia Legionarus XII" by Jonathan Moeller, some great Roman-ish fantasy fiction, and a review of the essay collection "Finding Serentity."

Enjoy!

Fraser: I enjoyed the Dermanassian tale quite a bit. It's language and tone were a nice change of pace from the normal voice employed in such tales. It's nice to see S.C. Bryce try something a little different, with the frontier-type narrative style in a sword-and-sorcery piece. And nice to see you put it out there for us to read.

Thanks.

Hey All

Another story for issue 21 is up, the last for this issue. The story is "The Dor" by Jaimie Elliott.

Some inner warning, some prescient fear, pushed Dakota from the door. He knew, in his heart, what lurked there. But Alissa would not believe. There are no monsters, no real monsters. Really?

Good Day All

A new story by Kay Patterson wraps up the fiction for this issue. Sorry things haven't been moving along faster, but I'm giving NaNoWriMo a shot. 20,000 words and going strong, though I have come the realization that my opening needs to be completely changed. Still, tbe beauty of NaNoWriMo is that one keeps writing and be damned the internal editor!

Take care all.
