I've been surfing this site for almost a year and thought it was time to join and start expressing myself.
For years I've been a sci-fi and fantasy fan, along with horror. During that time I always thought of myself as a little odd because I had a hard time finding other women who also enjoyed these genres.

My husband, Kane, introduced me to this site shortly after we started dating. I was surprised to discover that there were other women who were fans and had had no problems expressing themself here.

Looking forward to reading the posts here and to be able to state my opinions without feeling like an outsider. :-)

Thank you, sir.

Guess I should also mention that in the past year I've become a big sword and sorcery fan. With Robert E. Howard dominating my reading list.

Yes.
FYI, On the conan.com boards I post under the name Sophia Kane.
My husband uses the name "Kane" both there and here.

Welcome! I've met quite a few women who enjoy fantasy, but not as many in the sci-fi department. But, since my wife is my first reader and often has plenty of comments on my stories no matter what genre they are, I know there are sci-fi ladies out there too. *smiles*

A very emphatic Thank You to all who have welcomed me here.

While I cannot promise to read all the material that has been recommended to me, I will due by best to look over all of the links. Although I do belive that my husband already has a few of them on his TBR pile.

When I saw the name Dark Agnes I immediately thought of Howard. I'm a big fan as well. If you get a chance some time check out the REHupa site, the Robert E. Howard united press association site. Some cool Howard related stuff.
