Welcome aboard... Good to see someone ordering new drinks. This place has been overrun by wine drinkers lately!

Welcome!
While I am guilty of being a wine drinker, I also have been known to wet my mustache with a pint of Guinness, or yes, now and again a black and tan. I am also fond of Maker's Mark Manhattans, when I am flush.

Welcome to the forums Dean :) There's a ton of very interesting coversations going on all over the place, so wander through all the threads and jump in where ever you'd like :) Glad to have you hear.

I'm curious though, why does Gustavo make you want to branch off into stand up comedy?

Welcome, Dean!

On a "we are world citizens" note, everyone knows not to order a "black and tan" in Ireland, right?

Well, here's hello from a published speculative poet!

I don't think I want to know what that will make you want to do.  (Either recite romantic sonnets to your sweety, or throw yourself off the nearest bridge.  And with some of my poetry, you might just want to lock your doors, hop in bed and hide under the covers!)

Actually, I'm also a published author (see published authors thread for evidence!), despite my tendency to make people want to quit their jobs for unusual pursuits...

I need to finish that novel or I'll never get any respect on these boards!

Welcome Dean,
And be careful reading my published works. The stories are safe, but the poetry may make you want to jump off the nearest suspension bridge. With your hands clenched around my throat . . ..
