Hi David. I like the avatar, whether or not it's bitter!

I just wanted to toss a note out here to soothe any ruffled or mildly puzzled feathers:

My habits are erratic at best when it comes to posting to the Bragging and Promotion threads. It is merely a function of chance and split attention. Some of you I know and post congrats to, others I don't know and post to. Others I know and don't bother because 34 others have and what the heck more can I say.

SO. Here's my blanket praise and congratulations:
Anyone who gets anything published by a reputable publisher has my greatest respect. Each and every instance impresses me no matter the circumstance or reward you receive. It's a beastly struggle at times, and those of you who continue in the face of slap-downs and no-comments and form rejections have my deepest respect.

Go getem tigers! (oops. that's literary lions, right? I missed another punchline; quick, Jim, fill my glass!)

I'd go find my intro from long ago and state the same - but that would simply be imitation - which, of course, is the highest form of flattery, but I don't believe you need anymore of that from me smilewinkgrin   I shall simply day 'Ditto' here and leave it at that.

well, there are the few (very few) who seem to enjoy posting one word 'Congrats' in apparent attempts at climbing the Most Posts charts . . . . ;-)

I know Ty intended that as a joke, but ironically that "congrats" was his one thousandth post.... way to squander it, Ty ;)

Is there some kind of prize?

Now you got me noticing that I'm pushing toward 1000

I recall at some point I was near a landmark number and made a push to break it, but I'm not certain whether that was 100 or 500.

But right now I'm working on padding my NaNo with a few more K . . . .

David, you're pushing 1000? Damn. You look good. I wouldn't have thought you were a day over 85. Must be the alcohol acting as a preservative... :p

Actually, it's the vallium that keeps me from frowning so much.

Cinnamon for circulation? Chocolate for the skin and bones. The hair is pure, natural stubborness!

the teeth are the real miracle. 15 years without a dentist (one checkup two years ago because my wife insisted, but that doesn't really count)
