I am David M Pitchford
I'm notorious for loosing passwords, websites, bookmarks, and user names as well as many other things. Which is why I had to begin anew here.
So, why Bitter Hermit? Seemed to make sense at the time.
I work too freaky much to have many friends outside my two homes - the Illinois State Museum and my house on Carman. Earlier this year, as many of you might have guessed or been told, my former business partner and I had a falling out. I absolutely do not miss my business partner - any more than he could possibly miss me. It was a rough business doing business together. However, I miss the heck out of the guys we were when the business was out of the way - one of the few guys left close by I could sit and discuss poetry and fiction with and find a common wavelength. So I was a little bitter at the time for losing my friend to a stupid commercial endeavor - but I deal with bitterness with humor (often gallows), and so the BH handle was a self-derrogation on the humorous side. I'm a hermit by habit of working constantly. I am not, as a rule, a bitter person.

I rarely have any humble opinions to share. I don't do humble. It's not that I'm too good for it, it's just that I haven't the time nor impetus to share my humble opinions. I keep those to myself and traffic in serious, considered, spontaneous, exuberant, and just plain zany opinions. So don't ever expect to see IMHO in any post other than, of course, this one.
As for me personally, I really don't know if I have any humble in me. I don't consider myself arrogant for the most part. Nor humble. Sometimes coy, but never carp. Usually a smartass, but often serious and academic. Usually if I state something that sounds insulting, the most caustic barrel is aimed at my own temple (my apologies to those spattered in grey matter and bone chips).
I never lose my sense of humor. Though I am wont to leave it locked in the glovebox at random intervals and forget to put it on the charger.

No, I am David M. Pitchford.
Time to confess to everyone: I made up the whole "David Pitchford" thing with Pitch-Black!!!! I just didn't want to seem like a loner. There never was a "David Pitchford" ha, ha. Fools!
Now, I think it is time for me to retire my stand-in, psuedo-someone and step out into the light.
YES, I am the madman who created this "trapezoidal marmot" by way of Chaos Magick and now have unleashed him on the unsuspecting world!!!!
Muhaha.....

which is okay for poetry . . . But I have every attention of keeping PQ going until it drives me to living in a refrigerator box
Daniel said...I'm checking around for an agent *** Stick with the quest, Bitter Hermit. I think you have a very good chance of finding an agent and eventually publishers for your work. From what I've seen you are doing everthing right, prep wise and practice wise and applying seat of pants to seat of the chair, etc. You have a great imagination, too. Here's wishing you all luck and success!!!
