Hello. I'm a new member and am seeking advice on books concerning Artificial Inteligence for my MA degree. I'm most interested in the problem of possible discrimination of A.I. in the future and therefore looking for plots familiar to those of Brian Aldiss' "Supertoys Last All Summer Long", "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" but also books that resemble events as depicted in "The Terminator" or "The Matrix" where the A.I. considers humanity its mortal enemy. I'd be most grateful for your help. Many thanks:)

David M. Fitzpatrick's "Androids Take Over the World" from the Unparalleled Journeys II anthology is a set of three stories that features both A.I. as persecuted and A.I. as persecutor. (My mentioning that one qualifies as shameless self-promotion since I have a story in that anthology as well, but honestly, it's the first one that comes to mind.)

"The Cruel Equations" by Robert Sheckley is a tale of the inflexibility of A.I. Not exactly what you're looking for, but might be worth a read. I feel that Bradbury must have written something along those lines, too, but I can't think of anything.

Hope that helps.
