Help. I used to write [quote]to put [/quote] something in a quote box. Now that doesn't seem to be working.

What should I be typing to be able to break up long quotes, insert responses and do that sort of thing?

Thanks wise tech-gods.

Tarantino himself has been forward and unapologetic about his influences. In a 1994 interview with Empire magazine, he said, "I steal from every single movie ever made. If people don't like that, then tough tills, don't go and see it, all right? I steal from everything. Great artists steal, they don't do homages."

Nathan,

Quote my reply with the quote icon next to the pencil icon and look how the quote is done on this board. You have to specify who is being quoted. You'll see quote="username" inside those [ ]

without that the system will just ignore the quote tag

you seem to have gotten it to work.

What I usually do if I want to quote multiple people in one reply is use the forum quote feature and quote the first person and then copy the opening quote tag paste that into my reply. Then copy the part of their text I want to quote, paste that after the text and then type in the closing quote tag. Then I'll do the same to the next person and so on.

That 2nd part was what I was trying to figure out; thanks K!
