Mistral font is quite hard to read (a big minus), but has the advantage of being discrete and harmonious. It's light and almost ethereal. A larger, white font is in consideration. I hold the belief a picture is more powerful than words--quite paradoxical for a writer...aspiring writer. I don't want the title to intrude, yet I want it to be easy to read of course.

Beware of words, for they hold a power that can alter the fabric of our minds; intangible words that can summon the dormant predator from the dank recesses of the mind.

Cool looking fonts are only effective if they are easily legible. I had to study the larger cover image before I could read it. I thought for a moment that "enchantress" was "enthusiast". When someone looks at your book cover, they shouldn't be guessing what they're reading or even straining their eyes (the white would be okay with a better font, but the gray is difficult on the eyes). Just trying to be helpful, but do whatever makes you happy. Christopher M. Heath

See if you have MS paint, you can paste two images onto that and manipulate them and save them as one jpg file I think -- though I'm sure someone here knows more than I do on the subject.
But experiment with MS paint in the meantime. | | Back to Top | | |
