I read a series of books years ago about a psychic race that was set in medieval times (I think!) and were continually harassed and attacked by catholic type priests.

Can anyone help with this?

The Deryni series by Katherine Kurtz, still in print, still coming out with new volumes occasionally. The first was titled Deryni Rising the last that I recall is titled King Kelson's Bride, I think there are newer ones. Kurtz rewrote the first trilogy recently for its rerelease (which I considered a sin).
