Do I have to do a fresh install or can I install it without having to reinstall all my programs and files? I got a student version dirt cheap (full version) but it doesn't have any literature, just a disk and product key.

Does the OS itself run faster, or will it not matter since I don't have any 64-bit apps (that I know of)?

Thanks in advance (and pardon my ignorance),

-Chris

I have an AMD Athlon 2.4 Ghz 64 bit processor. Thanks for asking, that would be a problem if I didn't!!!

Well, you could try it an see if it runs faster, or if it will do an upgrade. I suggest backing up your data files first though!
