So I'm heading into town, eager for the mail and unaware it's one of those Post Office holidays no one else thinks about. The news on the radio gives the highlights of the latest round of bombings in Baghdad, including one near the Polish embassy. I think, "Huh, I wonder if that's linked to whatever big international political thingy they were involved in the other day. What was that... Nope, read it in a short story on Friday. Never mind." blush

Are you saying you can't always tell fantasy from reality, Jeff? If so, congratulations! If not, keep trying!

Are you guys saying that the brilliant stories you're always talking about are FICTION? Oh, no! And I just got a big loan to buy one of those full brain backup machines! Well, I guess that's out, so can anyone tell me the cheapest place to get a portable teleoport to escape my creditors?

If I follow this line of thought does this mean....wait...oh, I don't like this at all.

Tarantino himself has been forward and unapologetic about his influences. In a 1994 interview with Empire magazine, he said, "I steal from every single movie ever made. If people don't like that, then tough tills, don't go and see it, all right? I steal from everything. Great artists steal, they don't do homages."
