1st April 2009, Gilgamesh Press will publish its first anthology, In the Footsteps of Gilgamesh. We want to help promote new writers – one of our company goals – by reserving a slot in the anthology for a story from a writer who is, as yet, unpublished in any fiction medium.

Gilgamesh Press is looking to promote new talent in its first anthology:

Sadly (happily, actually, but who's counting), the "never published" requirement disqualifies most members of this board...

How about the rest of the antho - is that going to be open call or by invitation?

interesting release date you've picked. April 1st...

If you're serious about finding people that are unpublished, I suggest the North Texas Speculative Fiction Workshop http://www.ntsfw.com. Their mailing list is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NTSFW/

You know, we had about 5 or 6 authors in the Strange Worlds of Lunacy antho that were unpublished. So you never know.
