A 'writer' has been caught taking the stories of various horror/dark fantasy authors (including Douglas Clegg, Karen Koehler, and Alex Severin), search-and-replacing character names with members of N'Sync, and passing them off as her own works...

...No guarantees this link will work for long; as you can imagine, the writers that have been thieved from are working hard to get this shut down. But in the meantime, click on the various "Reviews" links for a laugh...

At least the plagiarist was caught. Shame to simply take someone else's hard-earned work and use it to further the make-believe lives of boy band members. | | Back to Top | | |

Imagine -- "Spherical Ringo"
That gives me a great idea. I'm going to go through all of my own works, and replace the characters with Beatles and cronies...
Ex.
“Yet again, I have dreamt of that colossal eye embedded between scales of platinum,” spoke Ringo Starr, tightening his grip on the reins and slowing the barded stallion to a mere canter. Just beyond earshot of the marching infantry, he awaited council from his war witch.
Yoko Ono did not comment immediately; her gaze was transfixed ahead, along the craggy slopes of the volcanic chain known as the Kondese Mountains. Sulfurous fumes loomed overhead, darkening the sky with roiling clouds of soot. The witch slowed her mare to a pace conducive for conversation, taking stride alongside the paladin.
Ex. 2
“This is risky business,” spoke Stu Sutcliffe, the captain of the guard, to his second-in-command. “Paul McCartney calls it a show of trust to Moongoth, sending the princess as an ambassador to deal with Billy Preston. I still call it folly. We’ll get her safely back to Myrmiddion, but I hardly think it worth the risk.” Though his conscience had bothered him for some time concerning these matters, perhaps it was the forlorn hills looming near which prompted him to finally vocalize the concern. Pete Best, his lesser, agreed. “As you say, captain, but I have heard through hearsay that McCartney resisted sending her, and it was Stella herself who insisted, and fought hard for the right to represent Aege’nokt.” "Let's just hope we can split up John and Yoko before everything goes to hell," George Harrison piped in, from the back of the ranks. A unicorn suddenly shot a marmalade pie from its butt, and all seemed like it would be well...or would it?
Okay, I changed the last two lines...but you guys get the idea. I've got a lot of work ahead of me if I'm going to do this up proper.
